On this day the OI supply train reached Browns by traveling down the NEC to Midway interlocking in Monmouth Junction, where it was pulled backwards onto the Amboy Secondary with a different set of locomotives. The abandoned siding to the right was once used to serve DuPonts Parlin Plant which has been in operation since 1904. It is still in operation today producing an assortment of products including Teflon. Its unfortunate that the railroad is no longer being utilized to serve this facility. |
